Day 2
Day two here at Ticket King is going really well. I started out this morning by writing some content for the Twins pages on ticketkingstpaul.com because it's not that fun so I tried to get it out of the way. Then, Beth, another intern, taught me how to use the Timberwolves and Twins blogs. The Timberwolves blg was originally in a girl's voice, but I switched that by posting something about myself saying that I would be writing for the blog for the next month. For the Timberwolves blog I wrote a post about the NBA Playoffs and one about the Timberwolves draft needs. I think that Evan Turner and John Wall can save the franchise so I will be writing profiles on them later. For the Twins blog, I wrote about Joe Mauer and Nick Blackburn and I have to write it in a girl's voice so don't judge me haha. It's funny writing those though so I'm fine with and am excited to take my girl writing to the next level. I had Chris and Rob's for lunch and it was delicious. Okay I'm off to comment on all of the blogs that have been done and then go to my baseball game. Peace!

ReplyDeleteJohn Wall can SAVE the Twolves?????? I might disagree - besides I would like to see the Wolves turn it around NEXT season or at the very worst, the next two seasons...John Wall won't be able to save us that fast. How about sign LeBron James? Now that would be sweet.

I agree, john wall is the answer. A franchise does not become a contender in just one season. Look at the Thunder, for example, it took them four years to become the 8th seed in this years playoffs. They had to load up on tons of talent i.e. durant, jeff green, harden, and westbrook.
ReplyDeleteThe timberwolves are on the right track personnel wise with three first rounders in this years draft and young players like love, jefferson, flynn, and rubio. We have no chance of signing Lebron. First of all, why would he come to minnesota? he wants to go to a contender and we aren't going to the playoffs anytime soon. We also do not have the cap space to sign lebron. We should get a scorer in joe johnson or rudy gay
I would have to agree with Mr. or Mrs. anonymous. It is pretty unrealistic to think that the Timberwolves will be able to turn it around by next season or even in two seasons. They could decide to be impatient and overpay for a veteran that would help them for one or two years, but not help them in the long run. No major stars will want to sign with the Wolves, meaning the only way to build a team is through the draft. Much like the Oklahoma City Thunder, who have a core that could lead to a future championship. Thanks for bringing up the Thunder anonymous, I think that the Thunder are the blue print for success for a team like the Timberwolves.
